Looking back at previous work - how I can connect the different stages?
Lots of questions....lets first reflect and see what emerges.
Stage one was in the medium of paint and I took water as my subject matter using the sea, reflection of boats and man made object on the water and created abstract images.
Stage two was using print medium as a process. My focus was on "erasing lines to create lines" which came about by me physically carving a line into wood blocks and then through the process of printing the blocks, I created lines on paper.
In stage three, I used my camera in my urban surroundings with some man made object and created my own spaces that I entitled "inscapes" as the were not really places, but the images I produced with a medium format camera appeared as if they were real places.
Printing - taking well know places, creating contemporary prints has been my most recent work. But now I want to move this back into abstract pieces.
Adding and erasing, shapes surroundings me that include, natural and urban landscape, using techniques of paint, print, photography. Let my work emerge and grow.
"Fallen" Leaf imprint onto wood as a mono print
"Steinbuck" typical animal found in alps on the rocky cliffs.
"Winter Flower" outline of what is left of a flower in the winter, when the flower drys and looses it life.
All of these prints are reflecting winter, what happens to nature as winter arrives.
Some prints that are available for sale.
